Student Profile: Bryan Barth

Bryan Barth, a junior Political Science major is a member of the Inside Politics program at the Eisenhower Institute. Brian hopes to get a better understanding about the reality of how politics works as well as see how he can get into a career in politics. He is currently researching the effect that lobbying has on off-shore oil drilling legislation. On campus, Brian is also in the Sigma Chi Fraternity, College Republicans, Pi Lambda Sigma Honor Society, and he is a tour guide for junior open house and get acquainted day. According to Brian, the trip to DC was one of the best academic experiences of his collegiate career. The best part of his experience in the Inside Politics program was meeting the fantastic array of enthusiastic and informative speakers that he met in DC. If he could give advice to anyone looking to get involved with EI’s Inside Politics, he would encourage them to “go for it.”
